new bike/new start

I doubt any cop would suspect you of more than 200w, assuming they even know how fast 200w is!

In Victoria, the police have had the law changed, so now the owner must prove to police that their engine is 200 watts.
Making the situation worse is that police can reject your submission and force you to present the results of another test, upon which they can reject that new submission, and keep rejecting submissions as long as they want.

Because the law has been changed, the police can give you tickets based on "a belief" that your bike is over specification, regardless if your bike complies with the law.
It is then up to you, to spend your money and time getting the required documentation to prove that the bike complies with the law, but it is a pointless exercise if the police decide that they want to make the charges stick.

I just can't see why in australia the just dont put a speed limit or cc restriction instead of wattage output, the laws they make these days.this is kinda off topic but i mean you even have to have one hand on the steering wheel when stopped at a red light. its just ridiculous the laws they are bringing out

Although Australia looks like a free and democratic country from the outside, it is completely the opposite, if you have to live in the country and abide the the ever increasing nonsensical laws and regulations.
The police in Queensland are now handing out tickets to people who have their car window wound down more than 3 centimeters - an utterly moronic enforcement of a completely idiotic law.

I wonder what the reason for that is; so people's pet hummingbirds can't fly out and obtain life-threatening injuries?:giggle:
3cm is insane, that's just enough to make lots of noise inside the car but not enough to cool the car down!
