I already posted this I suck at editing…..re-post… well I finished my junk build wide pedal crank mtb frame single gear and single rear break I had to get a new rear rim and brake to make it work the rest is stuff I had found or had around and some was given to me o and I had to get a seat post and the kit.
Here she is! the Frankenstein build. This is the 2nd engine to mount on this frame. I got about 1000 hard miles out of the last build before i believe bearing issues took out clutch. I reused some parts off the first build such as the carb and rims, but otherwise everything has been replaced, even the circlips in the motor have been upgraded to the CW10. Chain is #41 and fits perfectly with zero rubbing, although close in places. I have nothing bad to say about these PK80 motors. I was on the original clutch at 1000 miles, and it did not even looked broken in yet!. same with bottom end. Top end was replaced 2 times due to failed factory circlips. Im in the process right now of breaking in this new motor. (30:1) It started right up...
Preamble to this - I have had a basic straight kit-build in the past decade, and an aborted build that was much higher grade, that had i lost interest in/evolved into the build being documented right now.. over a 5 year time-span. I had stopped 'building' .. but i didn't stop monitoring/buying up parts to progress on another possible build. As such, in putting it all together when the project came back on the bench, i had minimum needed to buy, more a matter of pick and choose. In my frustration over my aborted build, i had built a higher-end eMTB - and some components of that, have also being able to filter down to this project. I have, in all truthfulness, already found my 'regular' ride in the Downhill eMTB. I am doing this...
Raleigh Nitro 10spd circa 1989-1993 Dmr Moto tie'ers with only 15psi up front, 18psi rear. kevlar front tie'er liner, purple rubber liner at rear. front brake not necessary, (try removing all your front brake lever and all, and reap the benefits) its more fun being on the edge. ok don't try it, thats called cognitive dissonance. In this photo its the 50cc engine with 40t sprocket, now ive fitted a new 80cc black engine kit, today though I have to switch the front sprockets so I can use a bmx chain, its smoother and quieter, also going back to the 40t sprocket because 44t is horrible, like being stuck in 2nd gear. so I have plenty to do today!
Been working on this bike for a little while now put in a bent springer fork I didn’t want to cut threaded forks so I added some spacers and a shorter BMX stem really loLowered And I installed some really tall ape hangers I’ve been trying to strip off the old paint And been restoring small parts here and there Some engine work too but not ready for an install
Just happy to have the Whizzer out of the shed and looking somewhat decent for the first time in close to ten years. These new school Whizzers were made from about 1998 up until around 2009, this is a 2005 model. To recap, these are Flat head motors displacing about 138cc and they run on pump gas. The case holds 8oz of SAE40 oil, and this bike has a centrifugal clutch and is therefore "twist and go". This particular Whizzer cruises comfortably at 35 mph and can sprint to over 40 when called upon in stock but slightly tuned form. Presently trying on some cargo racks in preparation for my first 100 mile self supported ride attempt with this particular bike. Hope you enjoy! Whizzer start, quick pass, flat tire fail OU
Hey guys.. Been a member here for a little while, have done mostly reading and not a lot of posting, but i figured i'd join this section and post a picture of my bike! I built it in the spring of 2017. The bike is a Genesis GX7, 7 speed with 29 inch tires, purchased from walmart.com. The engine is a Huasheng 49cc, which came with a kit from gasbike.net, but once i learned the transmission was complete crap, i immediately upgraded to the Q-matic from the EZMotorbike company. 60 tooth sprocket came from thatsdax.com. The last pic is my other bikes; i didnt build them, but still love them just as much lol
Just got this new addition to the harem. Like new Phantom Gray Ghost. Dude had it left to him. He couldn't get it to run right. Took it to a lawn mower shop and they told him it had a flat cam. Sounded like a carb issue to me. He wanted 1100 but since he couldn't get it to run he dropped to 650. I offered 500 and he took it. Swapped the stock carb for a NT and it runs like aq top. So anyone know where I can find brake shoes for this hub?
