Best bang for buck kit?

If I purchase this fifteen dollar "speed Carb" will i be able to use my current twist throttle, manifold, and cables that come with the chinese 66/80cc motor?

Going from a NT to a "Speed" carburetor is no problem. The cable is the same. Going from a CNS to a "Speed" carburetor you will have to modify the cables, as there are 2 cables (throttle and choke) to the CNS and they are not mounted the same.

NT and Speed CNS

Does the speed carb perform that much better than the NT carb? I originally had the CNS, but seeing as I don't consider myself much of a carb tuner, I switched to the NT carb as it had fewer adjustments, and was considered generally more reliable.

Both are about the same as far as performance. Both are a very simple carburetor and easy to work on. I have a NT generation 2 (speed) that I haven't put on my bike yet. I like the fuel cut off valve at the carburetor, its easy to cut the fuel flow off, as the one I have is at the gas tank and very close to the tube on my cruiser. Whichever is cheaper, but they are within a buck or two of each other. Keep what you have.

so do you think the kit will fit my bike? what do i need to make it so i can use the bicycle gears and shift through them? Has anyone ported these 66/80cc motors with any good gains? are the different kinds of pipes offered for this engine? im mostly looking for a pipe with a nice low-mid powerband. if not i can buy a pipe for a goped engine and modify the manifold and brackets somehow..

They make a thing called a jackshaft, or sometimes called a shift kit, and it takes the the output from the motor from the dedicated sprocket on the back wheel and transfers it to the front sprocket of your gears. It also includes a free wheel adapter the keeps the pedals from spinning when the motor is doing all of the work.
