I've had feeler gauges that were well used like that, meaning they were used a lot & wore some. I've also had cheaper ones that dont measure out correctly.

I'm just curious if any of you have ever taken a dial micrometer and measured you feeler gauges ? I have 3 sets of feeler gauges and none of them are accurate at the small end around .005". They are all off + or - .001

If you set the end play at .006 the engine will still run good if the measurement is .007 or .005. YMMV.
