80cc raw engine

HI, I am new here.I have a question on my new 80cc raw engine. I just put it together but the clutch does not want to disengage.For some reason it is stuck.I have took off the clutch cable to manually turn the lever but it is still stuck.does anybody have any suggestions.

Remove the clutch release cover and give the release rod in the center of the sprocket a sharp rap with a hammer. Do not hit it into next week, just hit it hard enough to loosen the clutch plates up a bit.
Alot of folks find that the clutch freezes up and locks during the many months of sitting in a box, awaiting to be sold.

I did that and nothing happened.I started the engine by spinning the back tire by my hand and it turned on but it keeps spinning cause of the clutch.Cant figure it out

Do a search under "clutch locked" or "flower nut".
Thre are many, many threads discussing clutch problems.
You are not alone in this battle.
