Clutch Abandon clutch set up for simplicity?

Not all that simple, but ya. You will need belt guides to keep the belt round shape to free the engine, and not grab the pulley. Study lawn tractor and garden tractor clutch and belt guids.

BUT NO MATER WHAT YOU DO YOU NEED TO LOWER THE GEAR RATIO!.............Curt

Yea so I decided to end this build and ride it as is but only add a throttle the rest is all budget build.

Decided to build another bike and run that one straight.... call it a loss but I will build a manual clutch.

So my question is will I need regearing/jackahaft for a 20-24 motorized bmx?

I found another block for the $20.00

History will repeat itself.

The answer to your question is yes.

What about a mini bike with wheels at about 6 inches with the addition of a crank system welded on to make it road legal as a pedal bicycle.

(Yes insane)

But thinking all old school 1HP....

Would that need gear reduction?

Has to do 30mph flat since its going from mini bike to mini motorized bicycle...

If possible ID like to modify for multiple speeds via welding on a bike hub and area for derailur?

To be specific what size wheels will not require regearing hahaha

Trouble with a 2" to 15" is slippage of the belt. Needs more circumference of the belt, to keep from slipping. Jack shaft needed.................Curt

Ok, use the standard 3.2" pulleys and a
larger jackshaft pulley to come up with
the same effective gear ratios.

LOL, you're doing it.
You're about to repeat your mistakes via trial by error.

You'll ditch your MB project.

Then start a brand new mini-bike project.

Buy minibike, tires and more parts.

Buy new clutch and rear pulleys.

Trial-by-error on adapting bicycle pedals and chain brackets and derailleur.

Who's done that before?

No One!

It'll be like the first Harley ever built!!

Then you'll end up with a minibike,
which is illegal to ride on public roads.

You'll be using your 6 kids' food money to
build a wild hare in upper U.S.

Good Lord, man!

Stick to and finish this project!

Buy a 1.75" pulley.

See if you can shave off your 3.2" pulley on
your clutch and attach the 1.75" pulley.

Gear ratio lowers from 4.69:1 to 8.57:1.

Then run that.

If you can't attach the smaller pulley onto the clutch,
then mount it directly onto the crank.

If that doesn't work, set up your "manual clutch".

If the clutch still chatters,
change the 15" sheave to a 20" sheave
(aka 24" bicycle wheel).

Gear ratio lowers again to 11.43:1.

All cheap fixes.

Cheaper and simpler than jackshafts.

Trial.....by.....error.

Who knows if these ratios will work for you?!

It'd make more sense to do research and
find out what worked for the many many riders who have
done this before you.

My Max torque spare is able to separate the tooth sprocket from the clutch assembly.

I'd take that step first...

Probably take a step drill and bore the center out....

Good news there is a bmx part seller from offer around the corner..

I'll get a rim, the pulley from ace, and a handle bar brake throttle.

Sounds worth it to me...

Anyway I just love annoying my answers out of people haha.

Well get the cracking time pay day today lock and load!

The real annoying parts are your
refusal to do research on similar vehicles.....

and your undisciplined thought process.

If you have as much trouble reading,
as you obviously do with English grammar,
get one of your kids to do your research.

Knowledge is powerful.

Take a good look at early Harley's and their lever tensioned belt drives.
