Chain Tensioner Am I asking for problems

Lol I know a easy way, buy a longer axle & spread the dropouts. Then use spacers on the axle. Chainlube might be correct on his suggestion.
I did spread it like you suggested for better brakes but that space is for the rear disc brake when I get to that. I have the longer axle I just don't want to take the coaster brake hub apart yet😜 I really just need to get a different hub or I've saw some people delete the coaster brake and keep the hub. Do you know of a way to mount a disc brake rotor to a cnc hub?

People on the forums suggested not to put the chain tensioner on the top because of chain whip or something like that. Sure enough, when a half-link broke the chain broke up part of the engine casing although I got lucky and it wasn’t catastrophic.

Do you got room just to space the rotor away from the sprocket & use spacers & bolt it to the sprocket.
Yeah It was about 160 mm width until I pulled it in to get the wheel on today because I really want to ride it for a decent distance. I know I'll have to redo my tensioner and get my chainline set all over again once I get the disc setup. For now I got a decent disc brake up front and I won't be using the coaster but I just want to ride the thing before winter gets here. Then I can get it all dialed in over the winter I'm hoping. I started the project last September I 🤔 think.
