Hello guys ! This is my first motorized bike build The bike i am installing this project on is a Roadmaster Mt. Climber. The Chinese engine kit i am using is Iglobalbuy 80CC Petrol Gas Motor Bicycle Engine Complete Kit. It ran awesome with the original chain tensioner until it dented the hell out of the tensioner. So i tried to run it without the tensioner and Its one link too tight and one link too loose, so i tried to install a half link and it was still just a bit too tight, im looking for any ideas anybody has out there to get my chain issues solved and off to the races!

Move the engine forward or backwards to make up the diff in the chain links
What do you mean exactly? I’ve tried lifting the engine but it won’t sit any other way unless I’m missing something. Thanks in advance!

Ya can't...The admin has it on timer for the first hour after I approved your first ones, so I am sticking it out here online just for you...lol.

Once that hour is passed and your not a "spammer"...lol...You will be able to post in real time...lol.

Ya might need different motor mounts which will allow you to move the engine
IDK it's hard to figure without your bike sitting in front of me,

Another member will chime in shortly with a more positive answer for you

You would need something like my homemade motor mount with swivel to do that so you can raise the level and angle of the motor and be situated more towards the rear...From there you would cut your chain down to size and possibly even be able to maneuver the motor in such a way is to not need a tensioner at all like I did on mine.

Link for one of these mounts at amazon.

My bike with NO tensioner after making this front motor mount three or four years ago.
