Do Long Offset Intakes Reduce Performance?

Bought a JRL normal size offset intake but the diameter wasn’t big enough and the carb still wouldn’t fit so I bought a long chrome version. Will it hurt my performance?

Yeah I got the one from sick bike parts , it was just a frame space issue , I would just run the filter w/o cover . I've got an offset now , but back then just filter and zip -ties.

You can make an easy one with an empty pellet tin and some filter foam.

Longer intakes increase low end performance at the cost of top speed. I'm still new to all this but I'm willing to bet that the differences aren't more than a mile or two per hour. I don't care about speed so I'm happy with my long intake.
