I think you need to lean it out one notch. Can you pull your spark plug and take a picture of it?

These carbs do don't work like that. They have no pilot or idle jet.

This is a Champion 852ECO, I still have the z4c plug if that's better. I'm running 30:1 oil mixture.

Z plugs are total Chinese crap plugs...Use an NGK-BR6HS spark plug for these things...That is about the best running plug for these motors...I wouldn't even run a Champion in a lawn mower...lol.
I've never heard that advice given here on this forum as regards the run of the mill type of 2 cycle motors we run here...Just saying.
Unless it is a Phantom 85 which runs rich and at lower RPMs.

Looks rich. Swap the jet back and put it to the middle position. Change the plug for an ngk. Well go from there

Twas my pops who told me
It doesn't apply to these 2 cycle, no valves, M/B motors.

Oh alright. Thanks for the help guys! I'll see what reverting my tune back will do. Is this the best option to pick up this plug or is there somewhere else?
