Has anyone else think about building MBs for dirt racing?

A couple of members here used to post about races in S. CA all the time. I haven't seen them post in a while. GW could learn a lot from their posts.
Yeah...lol...Those guys are no longer here...Ethan Smolik, RDM, and the buddy they all had in common, Robert Bianchi = ZedaMafia = zedamotorsports.com no longer in existence and he may still be serving his prison sentence down in Florida.

These are the guys no longer here due to ripping off members with their shady business practices...They would all close up their shops for weeks to go to these races, never finish making customers parts for them and alot of people waited years without getting anything they paid for.

The only thing that GW could possibly learn from these guys is how to rip off people and get rich without really trying...Lets not ruin a good kid...lol.

That is not my intention. I was thinking it would be fun to build a few bikes and race with friends on the weekend, and I like offroading, so off-road racing is what I really enjoy.

I'm sure the racing will be fun. What might not be so fun is the repairs and/or expense and/or labor time to prepare for the next race.

I was just thinking about building a couple of bikes and doing some off-road racing. I know it's not a logical way to have fun because maintenance would be frequent. But it sounds kinda fun.
Bikes like the specialised stumpjumper make the most sense to build off of: suspension forks and disc brakes. Large reductions and knobby tires needed may require jackshafts.
