Exhaust How can I reduce the exhaust noise?

I always wanted to run a diverter valve to run a quiet low power motor in town then flip the lever to open it up outside of town.

they used to sell someTHING exactly like that -- very simple little thing
reach back while riding
I had a straight pipe up top side back then
turn the switch while on the seat
that little thing sounded like a Harley -- almost !!!

wonder if they still sell those around anywhere ??

I heard that 4-stroke exhaust packing can stand more heat. Would it be okay to use in the stock muffler for a 66cc 2 stroke Grubee?
