I know your Chrome Belt Guard cracked by the mounting holes because mine cracked too.
The plastic Chrome Belt Guard cracks by the mounting holes from constant vibration.

How to prevent the New Chrome Belt Guard from cracking?
This will also repair minor cracks in an old Belt Guard.
Cut and drill a piece of Sheet Metal to fit on the inside of Belt Guard.
J-B weld the Sheet Metal to the inside of Belt Guard.
Scuff up area around bolt holes so the J-B weld will stick.
That's all it needed was a little support.
