Sometimes you just can't get away from the door zone. Crowded cities, etc.

In those cases it is important that you look directly into the driver's seat of every single car as you're approaching. If that sounds like a pain, well, yes it is. But it gets to be second nature after a while.

It's been a long time since I've had to deal with that. But I never got doored. I knew people who did.

I ride in a crowded city. Somehow. I am STILL able to avoid doors.

I guess it's because I claim the lane, usually the second lane from the curb.
