Thats the problem...They don't perform it anymore, They slaughter it and then hang it by the neck until dead, then they have it drawn and quartered.

I honestly can't stand it when choirs sing the national anthem and do different octaves and tones than the original anthem.

Just in case you didn't know...The original British song as you have just heard was usually sung in pubs in England as well as on shipboard, as well as in the English Colonies, and it was singing about and praising the degradations and the less than virtuous bouts of drinking and "carousing" around with women in brothels, euphemistically also referring to Venus, goddess of love, and Bacchus, god of wine and lacivious behaviour.
