yeah there is some weird dust coming out of the CDI box where the wires come out, I"m guessing the capacitor blew. I wish I could get a new CDI overnighted to me - anyone know of a place that can overnight parts?

TAKE THE CDI TO A SCOOTER SHOP AND SEE IF THEY HAVE A REPACEMENT

try taking the cdi unit to a lawn mower repair place or a small motor repair place they might have what you need also .....

NO!!! 
I just got a magneto in the mail but i'm waiting until I get the CDI and switch that out first because I"ll return the magneto if I don't need it.
