Break In Should I lean out my motor during break in?

According to my spark plug and performance, I believe that I am running rich. However, I am still in the early break in phase (just started my second gallon of gas). Should I try to lean out my carb just yet or should I wait until the engine is a little further along?

Also, my fuel mileage is not very good (50 to 75 mpg). Will a rich running engine cause this or is it likely to be just a fact of life for my particular motor (49cc from Power King).

Thanks for the input,
Jason

Running rich will adversely effect fuel mileage. If you have determined that you are running rich, go ahead and adjust it, but go slowly- one notch, and see how it reacts.

I adjust it from day one. No need to run a rich air/fuel mixture since most folks here run a very rich oil to gas mixture.
