I watched a good video before installing my engine showing to take certain things apart and grease stuff and locktite stuff ect. 1 part of the video he says "you can take the head off and inspect the cylinder but if it's your first engine you can probably get away without doing that" After installing and reading more I realized I should have pulled it off and checked for metal flakes or burs and sanded and cleaned it out. Think that's where I have been lucky
I had big issues with my first kit i ordered. They forgot to put on a cylinder base gasket and the carb never ran good enough so i got send another motor for free! Put it on an older frame and currently has 1500km on it. I opened up the motor when new and cleaned it out real good, lubed up all moving parts, loctite (or nailtite since i use old nail polish as threadlocker
) and put it back together. The first 200 or so km i tightened every bolt up after it cooled down after a ride and had literally 0 issues.

What's worse than a 2 stroke is a chinese 2 stroke. It's proving
to be a gamble.

Correction nothing is better then a 2 stroke but nothing is worse then a Chinese 2 stroke
