Turbo?

So that being said, where can I find "the Corvette" of bicycle engines....for a fairly good price and relatively easy installation?

Who cares about price and cost. Improvise and maximize. Sitting behind a computer saying its too expensive sounds like a cop out to me

I don't think anyone doubts you can supercharge or turbocharge or put NOS on a Happy Time engine. The real question is if all the trouble and expense is worth the marginal gain in power on a $100 engine kit that is quite literally "the volkswagen" of bicycle engines.

The point is, yes it "can" be done. But its not easy and not cheap. There are other mods such as Reed valves, porting and expansion chambers that add performance to a two stroke. And honestly, figuring out how to fit a power valve into one of these would be cheaper and probably a lot more effective than a homemade turbo. But the main point is, why spend the money to make a ****ty engine perform better when there are already other engines that perform better right out of the box. I have a 79cc predator that comes 3hp stock, and I'm expecting 4 just by disconnecting the governor, upgrading the carb and adding a high flow exhaust. Then they have custom ground cams, billet flywheels and stiffer valve springs, all which is e fairly easy to install and PROVEN to work. Not the cheapest either, especially the custom ground cam, but they do work. Turbos on two strokes have not yet been proven to work. If you're suggesting that everyone else is copping out by saying its not worth it, instead of coming on here talking more ****, do something about it and prove us all wrong. In the mean time I will stick with my predator engine.

Well exactly vw engines used to be in porches. If you can tell me where I can buy a better than vw quality mb "KIT" don't forget we get the whole enchilada for a measily 100 with ht kits( not just a motor the whole kit (I'll even pay a Lil more not a lot though) then I would be extremely happy if you could direct me to where all these better than vw quality motors are. Because for five years all I been seeing is the ht motor kit(awesome). Worth it to me. IM NOT TALKING about a real turbo maybe something that looks like a turbo with a Lil fan in it or maybe a type of ram air. I'm looking for things to better my vw motor like they did back in the day with vw motors and still putting turbos on

Predator engines are not kits. So tell me why I have to spend large amounts of loot to get a engine then I have to track down all the other parts(not fun) ht kit have everything for a hundred. Why not upgrade them. I look at these kit as the small blocks and big blocks (Chevy or ford etc.. In the bike world. Anyway does anyone make a cooling fan for the ht kits.

Gonna end up spending the same amount upgrading the ht kit as what it would cost to get a predator going. Not counting the frame or anything else, all the necessary parts for a predator build (including engine) cost me about $400. People have spent way over that upgrading the ht engines, especially those who race. No, the predator engine is not available with a kit, but the parts ain't hard to find. Just gotta know where to look.
