Duck, Duck, Mongoose.

I have finally settled on my next bike. It's a steel frame Mongoose Creekside. This bikes sole purpose will be speed and R&D. I've had this bike for some time and have already replaced all the bearings with sealed cartridges in the headset and bottom bracket. It had brand new everything as I had just rebuilt the bike before I stumbled upon this motorized bicycle craze.
This bike is going to be the recipient of the Dio Reed Sleeved Stroker Engine I'm building. The Jack shaft kit has been ordered along with another Oko carb. The rear rack is going and the seat is getting lowered and pulled back.
Going get rid of the suspension forks and go with a set of 30" triple trees forks with clip on bars. I'm still undecided about the gas tank but I'm sure I'll think of something and change my mind 10 times long before then. This build isnt in a rush to finish as I still have really never finished the Rambler yet and need to finish up the lighting system I have for it. And im also getting married for the first time in October and I have lots to do before the wedding. I will however keep the build updated as it progresses.

Came together awesome, grats!

We're almost Engine Brothers! My cheapo G5 test motor build does 53mph with some port work, a KX85 pipe, and a rejetted 19mm kehein clone and its not nearly as well built as yours so you should be in for a real treat. Just careful with that pull start, I know they have improved the design in the last year or so but you don't hear too much good from them.

Sometime next year (after I'm done with my 4stroke) I plan on turning that motor into a case reed and finishing the port work and going for ~60+mph...
Lmao, engine brothers, I was hoping to try it out before the snow starts flying here but I don't think that's going to happen unless we have a late winter this year.
The pull start is only on there so I could try and get a compression test but I'm not strong enough to hold the engine and pull the pull start, lol. It got up to 150 psi when the Schrader valve in my compression tester let go. I was thinking of taking the recoil of the pull start and just using the cover cause it looks mean. Lol
That's my goal on this bike too 60+

60+ would not surprise me. That's quite a little engine. The compression has got to be over 200 psi. Do you have access to high oct. fuel?

I'm thinking over 200 as well. We have sunoco 94. I think 104 is available at the airport but have to check. I was already thinking about the high test gas and colder plug. Hopefully there won't be a preignition problem

The head looked like it has a fairly wide squish band so that is going to help a lot. I just don't have that much experience with really high comp engines. This one was a screamer, but it only lasted about 7 months. The owner didn't care about longevity. He just wanted them to be fast. I don't think I even knew about how to set squish gap when I built it. It was trial and error with how much I could remove from a jug without bouncing the piston.

Yea yea Wutever. I've been asking for help from you guys all day and all you guys got to do is comment on that fruity looking bicycle. Brag about it when you can ride it for 30 miles straight without a break it down
Bro, this is GreasyChris' build thread posted in photos and bicycle builds. Go make a thread in the correct section for your problems... not fill his build thread with stuff that isn't on topic.
