Clutch Problem Phase Two. Very Short Video.

Yuckfoo you get your nightmare figured out? Or is it still fighting you?
Hey how do I put these clutch gears back on? I've searched the forum for it, no luck. I'm trying to use the remover tool to tighten it back in but running into clearance problems with the three studs that stick up around it.

With as many problems that you have already overcome with this "Nightmare", the only thing that surprises me at the this moment is why you havent just picked up an 8 pound hand sledge hammer and make those gears go back in place...lol...DAMIEN

Ps...Please don't really do that of course, that would only make you start from scratch all over again and going for a "Nightmare" trilogy of movies...lol.

Should I remove the key first? Or put the gear back on with the key in place? Lots of info on how to take them apart, I can't find any advice on putting it back on.

It's amazing how many videos there are showing you how to take them off and none as far as I can find showing how to put them on.

I havent had to do this on 2 stroke bike motors as of yet myself, so im totally useless in the help department on this, but wait long enough for some of these guys to get home from work etc...I know someone will have done this themselves already and will soon find your help request for this conundrum...DAMIEN

Yeah. I'm just being impatient. Pissed off that my grease is in Florida for some reason. Wanted to get this back together and ride. I guess I'll wait another day.

If it's being sent to you by US "snail" mail, be aware that the Postmaster General has promised all of us that the mail will now be slower than ever before and routed through other main hubs now as some are being made redundant to "reduce costs", so the mail is being sent in ridiculous routing circles...I can hand mail an item from my local Post Office here in Alamogordo, NM for local delivery, it is then sent to El Paso Texas for routing & processing, then sent back to Alamogordo, NM to then be delivered...Hows that for reduced cost "Efficiency" for ya...lol...DAMIEN

I used to work for the Post Office. Worst job ever. Filled with people trying to do less work than the person next to him.

You didn't happen to see K while you were there did you?

As for your gear issue, put the gear on the shaft and make sure the key is lined up and run the screw in. If the shaft is tapered, make sure the flat side of the key is parallel to the center line of the shaft.
