How long can "China doll" hold at WOT? Also, high altitude (+gear reductions and "too lean?")

I saw you mention that the idle screw isn't doing anything as far as adjustment. Make sure your slide barrel is in good and moves freely.

you can also re-adjust your clutch cable.

That is funny...lol...Sometime back, I wrote the very same thing here in the forums that maybe we should export grease to China so they can lube these things...lol.

Ps...Most of these Chinese made bikes also have no grease or next to no grease on their wheel bearings and hubs etc as well...lol.

润滑脂 -- they have a word for it!

I had already done that, then I adjusted the clutch. I Just got back from a ride. Idle is much better now and it idles while "parked". It is responding to the idle screw.

lol...It's no joke then! I'm glad I repacked all mine, so I have red n tacky on hand. The defective engine strangely had copious grease, but it was blue.
I see, Duke City. Three Crosses here and Damien is in Fat Cottonwood.
I guess I would be in White Oak (album quercus).

For your original answer, I ride mine about 13 miles straight WOT-- or close to it. My commute to work is first/last 2 miles city stop lights and the other 13 straight miles 2 lane farm highway. I treat every ride to work as a speed run.

2nd time this has happened to me on my way to work... a weird noise and my bike jerks then free sailing... I get close to work and start using the brakes... NO BRAKES, or very little to be more precise (i have my front brake to where it doesn't lock up) ... my rear brake fell off the mount! I need to pay more attention to my preventive maintenance.

That's what I was hoping to hear. After 10 seconds there is an image of a melting piston in my head, glad to know it is not the case. I'm gonna put this in the OP, so the answer is at the top next to where Damien answered the second question.

Holy moly! Good thing you didn't crash! I have my front the same way, but I always check it. My rear is a coaster that locks up the wheel, so unless my hub flies apart (or I lose the door jamb sticker plate lol), I'm good back there.

I did melt my spark plug cable and exhaust paint. The spark plug was a way too hot of a plug and totally my fault. Even so, this little engine still runs strong. I ran my bike about 40 miles in the course of 90 minutes when that happened.

Or your pedal chain falls off. I would look into a rear cable brake of some sort. I just heard too many horror stories about coaster brakes. No experience with a motorized bike. This bike is a Huffy Cranbrook frame with disc brake adapters that mount on the axle, like Damiens but mass produced. Since they aren't custom I have a lot of jallopy stuff going on and the temporary "try this out for fit" became permanent .

With the pedal chain, a high speed bump can pop the chain off the gear. Or a malfunction caused by something in the engine shifts your axle just a bit... pedal chain is likely to fall off.

My pedal chain was loose enough to pop so I had to loosen the arm to tighten the chains. Only I forgot to retighten the sticker plate...now it's gone! I jinxed it. So much for "character". Oh well. At least I have plenty of real washers to use now. I think Damien will be mad at me lol!

Wait...what?
