It depends on if you want to use a needle bearing or bushings.
V-1 pretty much already proved the P-85 cannot work on bushings without imminent failure...Bushings were the very first fatal flaw that was known in the first P-85s. so that much right there is right out the window to even consider.

The only reason I mentioned it is people do saw engines with a bushing on a yd100 base

There is a reason most 2 strokes use ball and needle bearings instead of bushings and shell/babbitt bearings. With no forced oiling the holes in the shell and cage of the bearing allow the oil to get to the surface within.
 
Just need the small end of the rod to be 16mm to work with the 12mm wrist pin bearing. That's all. Some LD100's come with a 12mm pin too. Some people have even bored the smaller rod end out 2mm with success.
So replacing the crank rod or even having to split open the case is not necessary to do whatsoever as long as the required 12mm wrist pin bearing can be accomodated for the piston.

Splitting the case is the minimum imho, but if you wanted to try and shade tree machine.it, yeah. Worse case scenario is it fails.
