Clutch adjustment

So if I want my bike to sit in idle without me holding the clutch my self. I no that you can push the button in on the clutch handle and it will hold the clutch lever for u. But when I go to release the handle. The bike will want to start to take off. How do I adjust this correctly. So it will hold.?

I think that what it’s suppose to do.That’s normal.

Any time the clutch lever is released it will try to move. Probably Then die if not throttling.

On second thought, either the cable is too loose and needs to be adjusted, or the clutch adjustment star nut is too tight.

I no to push the button and release the clutch and the bike should sit there. And mine wants to start to go that’s what I’m saying.

How do you correctly adjust the star nut for the clutch?

No it will try to move or die that’s with clutch lever released. It will not sit there and run with clutch lever released unless you have a centrifugal clutch.

How do you correctly adjust the star nut for the clutch?

Easily. When you pull the clutch lever, you're suppose to have about an 1/8 of a inch of movement.
