Clutch problem (I dont understand!)

YAY! I got it working! I did have to tighten the **** out of the cable, and really pull on that sucker.

I just couldnt believe that it takes that much effort to engage the clutch, when i had the cover off it was impossible to push in.

I think I understand what your thinking, but the clutch is engaged with the lever released. (your hand not holding it)

When you pull the lever, you are dis-engaging the clutch and allowing the motor to spin freely, (well sort of), that is why you have to pull the lever and lock it so you can ride the bike normally if something goes wrong.

I believe you were thinking it was the other way and that is why you were confused.

I hope I did not confuse you more.

Handle released - clutch engaged

Handle pulled - clutch dis-engaged
