no kidding!!! i need to find a better gasket material now, preferably something local, the rubber i used just melted off from the heat on the engine block so it is down, but definitely not out for now

Im wondering if anyone has ever thought about an aluminium or other metal like gasket? there would be great reasons to use it instead of gasket material (which i cannot remember) but also wouldn't provide an airseal! so its off the drawing board for that idea

yeah, I think that a very heat resistant rubber would be the ultimate fix. I don't know of any, but if anyone does, out with it!!!
