FYI for people wanting to do the ld100 conversion for yd100

PAHT CF15 Filament (CF reinforced Polyamide filament) can handle up to 180C/356F. That would be the most ideal choice for a part like that, both in terms of chemical and UV resistnce as well as heat. It's also extremely rigid.

Downside is, it's also a tad pricey at about 100 bucks for a 750g spool and you will need a nozzle capable of 250C/482F in order to print it.

I’ll look into this more tomorrow. I emailed the people who sell the cylinder and asked if I could get just the cylinder and save like 20 bucks and put it towards a hyway. If they say it’s cool to just buy the cylinder. I’ll go forward with converting it. In the mean time I’ll just work on the frame stuff like tuning brakes and chain etc.

Or I could just start building my minarelli I have laying around lol.

I did the conversion and my squish with 1 base gasket is .9mm. Did your yd100 come with a 12mm or 10mm pin?

I used a 2 plug head. Runs good but doesn't have a lot of torque like my avenger or phantom.

The head isn’t the problem on my engine. It’s just the stroke on my motor is longer than the ports which isn’t good for it. I just need to either stack gaskets on the bottom or make a spacer for my jug.

Update: I’ve order 4 base gaskets for my engine. When they come I’ll try and stack them to see if they fix the engine. If they do I’ll take it apart and use gasket sealer to fully seal it up.

I'm just curious why you want to convert a yd100 to an ld100. I thought the yd was a better engine

Ld100 cylinder comes ported and gives the engine the ability to run high compression heads and easier to check cylinder. Only downside is head gaskets are now in the equations so you run the possibility of blowing one.
