From what I read, they do slip,... but I would like more detailed opinions ...

I'm thinking of getting a Friction Drive, with the knurled roller, or a belt drive.

The area I will ride is pretty flat. Mostly paved, but there are a couple miles of gravel.

I intend on still pedaling as much as possible.

Hi wildchild04 -- I am new to FRICTION DRIVE -- but do live on a long dirt - dusty road --- My Subaru 35cc friction drive seems to work - super fine at this time - it is still brand new and the drive unit is not worn at all - yet... I am thinking that the real trouble may come with wet weather --- yes, I will be riding when it rains !! Any thoughts out there ?? Happy Riding from - Mountainman
