Is this piston really that bad?!?

Does this piston look bad? If so what can I do to fix the possible problem?

I have no experience with this type of thing but my son has a dirt bike and he says the top of his piston is clean with no black marks what so ever? Is this wear normal?

That look's normal you can see the fuel wash from transfers and typical carbon build up maybe a touch rich some where in the throttle range most likely the bottom and there's not much you can do about it with a stock or even many of the carbs used for mb's!

My piston offten look's the same!

it's fairly normal with 2 strokes. one way you can prevent that happening is to polish the top of the piston, but really it just doesn't matter
