Dear Craig in Texas-I agree with you about Williamson county! I live right near a Police station in N. Austin off of Parmer and have never had a problem. Of coure, wearing an orange safety vest, helmet, fingerless gloves, flashing lights front and rear, along with a horn and riding on the sidewalk helps
It's amazing how people generally are more respectiful of two wheelers when they can see that the rider is trying to be safe. I always wore full gear along with an orange safety vest when I had my Honda ACE 750 and it made driving much less stressful in Austin. My dollars worth-Gearhead
