Slightly off the topic, Nathan, but your drawings seem to be "done by hand." That is, with ruler and triangles rather than a CAD program. If so, you are a very talented young man. I expect to see great things from you in the future.

the drawings were just drawn in "kolourpaint" as i was doing them quickly, i draw with pencil and paper better than i can use CAD, i just didn't want to dig out the scanner.

Good idea. I have been doing some sketches for a rim drive. Maybe one day I'll figure it out.

There's a member on another forum who installed a vertical-drive lawnmower engine with rim drive. He's also on youtube. His name is Retmachinist, I believe.
