That's what these engines are for, experimentation! Don't think those wrist pin bushings will work too good as cylinder head though :D
 
looking forward to hearing your results. Anything with a Akubra on the side cover has gota be fast. I don't know if this setup is any better than what you have done, but no harm in showing a pic.View media item 60553

I’ve been told I may loose bottom end with doing that, but I see it so often.

So I figured to start with the very basic than add and see what the improvement is

Bit of myth busting for my self I thought.
 
There is a good chance I won’t have to muck around to much fitting it in the frame looking tonight, but I bet that will change haha

Bit more work with match porting the reed
