Do you have a video or site that shows how to get higher rpms on these types of engines? I would like to build mine so it can rev high once I get my hands on one

Just search on Youtube for go cart mods, cams, cranks, governors, and flywheels.

You need a lot of replacement parts because industrial engines are already at peak power where the governor is set. Minibike youtube is a good place to research for this.

The peak power can be moved around with a cam, plus the peak RPM output.

Buy the predator 224 max. Get 26-36lb valve springs. Buy the 265 or 275 torque cam. If you want to be safe & save your boys, buy a billet flywheel & rod. Buy a vm18 or vm24 carb. The 224 predator is a way better engine than a predator 212.

Also a stock honda with 26lb valve springs & the governor removed will turn 6800-7000 rpm without a rod or flywheel. A stock honda is safe for extended rpm intervals just due to the better quality in the metal & workmanship.
