Ill have some cash $$$ after christmas and my brithday, and I did a bunch of yardwork for my buddies dad and got 100.
I have a junk 50cc Ill upload some pictures when I get home, studs broken out, destroyed bolt holes. I also have a YD, but a 50cc should be able to go faster, right?

My candidates are:
Fixing or salvaging some parts from junk 50cc
Buying mineralli 50cc vertical
Buying new 50cc
Fixing my 66cc (only if it could go faster than a 50)
A Phantom85

I would like to put a mineralli cylender on my 66cc or try the "90cc" pk90 motor upgrade kit from cdh.

I'm looking at a budget of about 300-400$

any help would be great. Ive got my bike frame and motor mounts and all the kit stuff.
 
Also just to keep my YD100 I think im gonna buy an LD and a Smolik Head, not for a speedy build but because my YD is my go to anywhere, I take it everywhere I go wether it be -20 or 90 degrees so some extra speed and more low end would be great!
 
Smolik sells ported minarelli hybrids for $570, then you will have to get a good carb, that's a $130, then you need a real expansion chamber pipe, thats $250. You will also need a better cooling cylinder head, that's $100 Ahh! Forgot about the clutch that's at least $200 Lol got to be able to get all that power to the ground. How much power your want!!!

I was thinking like a ported mineralli 50cc with smolik head (so about 400) and I wasn't thinking about carby but I was gonna use stock clutch. Would some 20mm carb knock off china special not work?

I dont think you are going to want a knock off carb on a minarelli, but that's my opinion. I would want a genuine mikuni or a keihin on a minarelli. On carbs you get what you pay for, after biting the bullet I finally bought a genuine 19mm dellorto carb, its night & day different compared to a knock off. On a minarelli hybrid you will at least want a 21mm but a 24mm might be better.
 
Here is the old 50cc. That thing not one day in it's entire life wasn't four stroking 😂

Your best bet would probably be to get a Phantom 85, probably the best bang for your buck. I believe they got they're bearing issue resolved that they were having early off. You said you got a pipe, that would be a pretty wicked setup right out of the box.

Be aware that the pipe he has may not even fit this Phantom 85...They developed their own exhaust for this beast...I think the Phantom will give him what he wants and needs right out of the box and ready to go...These Phantom 85s are known to flip wheelies right out of the box on beach cruisers...DAMIEN
