Chain Tensioner Re-thinking drive chain tensioners

Over in General Discussions, under "a chance to buy a motorised bike", there are some pictures in Photobucket
that showed a bike that uses the chain idler/tensioner placed on the PEDAL SIDE
Looks like a combination speed mod AND safety mod !
Hey, no powered chain side drag, no broken tensioners under load.
Looks like "out of the box" thinking to me.
Hmmmm...
