Dan, sorry no bike porn today. We had 8" of wet heavy snow here in SE Wisconsin starting 4/14 and finally stopping late 4/15. Plow dude did a lot but still had to dig out. Have to go out to the shop to split kindling wood 4/16 anyway when I get home from work. I kinda burned out on IPA's thirty years ago, but I'm coming around to them again.
My after work refreshment of late is Goose Island "Mid Way".

Some crazy weather for April, im from a northern state and it was close to 80 degrees yesterday and I got sunburn yet it's going to be 40 degrees tomorrow and it snowed about a week ago. It was nice enough weather to test my 79cc bike for the first time and of course all the bicycles and harleys were out and everyone was outside.

Another pack of Shadow Conspiracy Interlock V2 Half Link chain arrived by post today. So hopefully tomorrow pedal side will be completed. Last photo is the 14ga SS brake arm strap I fabricated.

Well it seems every time I try to do something other than pure Sportsman Flyer it just does not work. At least not for me. I suppose I deserve it.
$70 worth of Shadow Conspiracy Interlock V2 Half Link chain is a no go for pedal side.
Half link was not a solution for slack chain. As per Pat Dolan's recommendation 10' of #41 Diamond Brand chain on order. Thought it would arrive today. It didn't. Good thing I had a good day at work . I won't post photos of saggy Shadow Conspiracy Interlock V2 Half Link chain. You will just have to use your imagination.

Either way the bike looks sweet. I noticed that the mag wheels I bought are now $139 instead of $99 on gasbikes website I'm wondering if I could get the china bearings pressed out and have Japanese bearings put in. When I was riding my bike there was a vibration coming from the front wheel either the brake was dragging or it was the bearing. One thing i've learned with these bikes is chinese stuff breaks easy.

Finally got my Sportsman Flyer chains sized and assembled with this neat little tool.
Hard to take photos and install a master link simultaneously

CD,
A Toolmaker (myself) loves tools. If I can't buy it I make it. In this case the tool was for me a true asset. Used handily again today, specifically with the Shadow half link chain. Pedal side.
