Will a honda gx630 fit a drop loop frame?

I have not, but I was thinking before starting such a big ambitious project I would try out one of the cheap 2-stroke kits on a bike I already own

Absolutely love it!!

Build your Flying Merlel with a droploop frame and use the Phantom 85 , It would be an awesome build

Then at a later date when your ready to up your game, you can put a GX honda 160cc or 200cc engine in her or another engine of your choice
