lol i find it a bit intimidating too. Sometimes i just like to open it up and see how she's setting in.
The sweet spot for me is cruising at about 27 or so though.

It all depends on what and how you are riding.
'Wrap Around' sunglasses here, I have a few pair laying around as NOBODY rides without helmet and eye protection here.

I find my 'speed comfort zone' is directly related to what I'm riding...
Balloon tires and dual disc brakes, I feel comfortable riding it WOT all the time but usually don't, all the roads around me are 4omph or less ;-}

I like the digital speedometer! I am using the old school cable type for looks, but I don't know about accuracy. I have been hitting 45 miles an hour with my Bullet Train electric start stretch cruiser. Passing cars in the 35 MPH zone!
