Info On Different Types Of Motors...

Judging by the praisers and hecklers comments I have read on the forums, Mitsu. engines are one of the best available.
Honda, Mistubishi, Tanaka, Subaru, are all excellent.
All of the Chinese clone engines have their unique achillie's heels. They are in no way as good as the Japanese engines.

And that was what I needed to know, exactly.I just read an old gx35 vs eoh35 thread. If only the Mitsus or robins came in a 49cc...The tanakas have a 40cc I think.EDIT-Just seen the mitsus in 43cc.

Alright I am getting ready to have her "motored".I have decided to go w/the Mitsubishi tle 33 (cheapest for a name brand).
I was just wondering realistically how far can you drive these bikes without straining the engine? I mean should I let the engine rest from time to time if I will be putting in a lot of miles that day?
How many miles can you get out of a honda/subaru/mitsubishi motor if taken care of? And I am very interested in what makes them go faster, yet doesnt hurt the relaiability of the engine...But Im sure there is a forum here for mods...Thanks in advance guys.

You can run the engine 24/7 if you like. It is forced air cooled and will not overheat...... unless you try to climb a 10% grade hill that is 25 miles long....at top speed.

As for performance mods, I'll let others more familiar with that engine speak up.

Awesome...I guess by mods,I mean just bolt on stuff.

Thats great to know man,I dont know why I am so skeptical about their dependability and their ability to be a reliable commuter, but we will see.
So is the honda gxh50 the biggest engine you can use for a friction drive setup?I can get the Mitsu tle33 cheap, but I have searched and cant find the tle43 (anyone got a link???)
robin/subaru doesnt make a 49cc,correct?
Thanks again,I know all newb questions...
