It definitely crosses a few lines. I kind of want one, but not for that kind of money. On the plus side, since it uses a 125 Honda clone there are 190 and 212cc engines making more than double the power and an extra gear that would more or less bolt up. That would make for a real fun time.

The late KC Vale built one; he did some customization to frame. Sadly his forum is no longer around. He may have put a bigger engine on it. Just remember a thread on the forum but have forgotten a lot of the details.

These bikes are really pit bikes with modified frames, pedals, and lighter wheels.

Engine, front forks, swing arm, shock, hubs, rotors, seat, tank, etc., ..all pit bike products.
The pic here is very similar to the pic in the post above...

Even so... they do look like they'd be super fun to ride.

The top photo looks like it would be fun on a hard packed dirt oval track.
