Clutch shaft wear

I'm breaking in a new Wildcat HP from California motorbikes and when decided to lubricate the bucking bar and bearing I notice the bucking bar was very loose in the shaft, wobbly. It has definitely worn prematurely. Can anyone give me an idea as to why? I'd greatly appreciate it!

Was it tight when you put it together? Or just packed with hard grease that warmed up and ran out?

Thanks for responding. It was far tighter when I opened it up to inspect. I also noticed I needed alot effort to pull the clutch handle in.
