End of the line for internal combustion engine and electric motorised bicycles in Australia

Hey guys,

I'm new around here and live in Victoria. I was hoping to build a 48/49/50cc motorised bicycle for myself.

Can someone explain to me, is it legal to ride this 48/49/50cc motorised bicycle on the street?
a. This is about monkey bikes, not bicycles with a motor correct?
b. I understand the motor will be over 200w, but can they prove that?

Will you guys still be riding? etc.

TIA.

If it's over 200w and the cops take you to court thay say thay can dyno it to see its power .i have been over this for 10 years you can have one just not over 200w you don't need to pedal to 6 kmh and under .over 6 you do .at 25kmh and over motor must not be working you need lights and one front brake that's vic s Aus law .I have been vic roads .been cop shop .been on the net .
