Fuel Mixture Ethanol/Alcohol as fuel

What is the deficiency of normal 2 stroke oil when used with E85? Is it too thin? Does it seperate? What about normal 30 weight oil?

From what I've read, most oils that are petroleum-based, including "synthetics", will separate from E85. I don't know about 30 weight oil.

I don't know if it's the same for ethanol but a buddy of mine down at the drag strip runs methanol because it runs cooler than gasoline and doesn't need as much air to burn, meaning you can cram way more fuel into the cylinder before the mix is too rich, meaning more boom.

the big problem will be getting enough compression to have any go, you need to run something like 12:1 if you want to go anywhere with it
