sounds like your float is jammed shut like mentioned in other replies above! lets us know if u get it running ill be interested thanks

I got the slide in correctly. Thanks for the tip. Since last night was soccer night for the kids I didnt get time to mess with the float. But I took a few minutes to try to fire it up... No luck.... I have to take the carb off tonight to change the intake elbow mod to what oldguy*** is using. I'll check the float then.

It was the float. Thanks for the advice.... I'll be MB'ing it to work Monday. You guys rock! Couldn't have done it (for free) without you!

Now I need to find a forum that will tell me how to heal the muffler burn from my wreck... LOL!!!

buy a big aloe plant...that will cure the burns.
or, buy some exhaust header wrap, and wrap the whole pipe with it.

thanks for the tip...The heat shield is on its way... btw- I rode my bike allover my little town today... very satisfying.....
