I like the look of those Vintage looking headlights you see on older Motorcycles. I came across this Offroad Halogen light At my local Harbor freight for $8 after using a coupon. It was then easily gutted and transformed into a Wireless, Self contained Headlight unit for my Next MB.

Nice, I could see taking their rechargeable spot lamp and gutting it and putting inside something like that, then source regulated power instead of an internal rechargeable battery, or keep it if you like.
Thanks. Yes you could do that aswell. I wanted something that was neat, self contained and different. This is what i came up with. Now the only thing that has me wondering is if i should also have some leads out to connect it the gen to have a constant running light. I guess that would defeat that wireless look though. Ill seee down the line i guess.

Can you charge it?

The batteries are rechargeable. But i left no means as to recharge them externally, seeing as i used the same battery set up before and never had to recharge them in about a 6 month period. That is bacause 95% of the time if i was out in the dark the light from the Gen was enough.

Thank you very much, on your recommendation I bought one this afternoon (with coupon) it will work fine for my application.
Again Thanks.

Well everything fits in the shell and I just finished playing with the bulb focus just need to mount the bulb to the reflector and run wires, this unit is powered by the troublesome lighting coil. A few pics and it does have h coil 006.jpg coil 007.jpg igh and low beam.
