I got my friction drive bike running last week but the kill button I got with my engine didn't work. Had to pull my spark plug to shut off my engine. After stripping the wire housing of both the kill button and the kill wiring on the engine to attempt a splice, I noticed that the kill wiring material was different from the kill button I got. The kill button is copper but the kill wiring on the engine is not copper. Anyone know what type of wire material this is made of? I tried a direct bypass using some extra copper wire I had but that didn't work nether.

It doesn't matter what the wire material is. Ground the wire coming from the coil and the engine shuts off.The wire from the coil is copper.
