Rough Running

Finished a grubee skyhawk 48 cc build. started right up, set the idling and took off. It bogs out once I give it anything more than 1/4 throttle. I'm assuming it needs some adjustment in the carb, but never having done this before, I could use some help. Don't know if my mixture is too rich since it smokes a bit, but I wouldn't think a rich mixture would bog out. Any comments?

There have been reports here recently of the main jet holder rattleing around loose inside the carb. This is on new builds.

If its lean or rich its going to bog. Do a plug chop and getter done.
