What to use?

Go to . This what i'm planning on doing. However I want to mount the motor on a piece of wood.
Would this be okay?
I don't won't to have top weld anything!

That is impressive ingenuity, but wood would not be safe with the vibration. Spend some time on this site and you will see that there are options for doing a lot with a little without welding.

If you just HAD to use wood, you could use a piece of plywood , then fiberglass over it to add strength.
