225cc tillotson engine install advise

it will get you more rpms, but test the stock engine because sometimes they are bad from the factory.
I bought the performance 225cc from gopower sports. They are supposed to guarantee ther engines . I think I am going to have to buy some more chain because the output shaft is located further forward than the stock 79cc in it now

this one?

then you would just bolt it up, those engines are VERY high performance (they make around 18hp, a stock 79cc makes about 3)

you would need to have better brakes (get some hydraulic disc brakes, Shimano downhill brakes are the best on the market)
get some better tires (maxxis hookworms are very good for the price, cst cyclopes are basically the same thing at half the price)
also, the frame might need some reinforcing (id check the bike before each ride, just in case)

other than that, your going around 65+ mph with the right gearing, so common sense is a must!

So the 225cc tillotson is too long to fit in the frame , so I guess I'll be buying a new frame lol

Not many frames will fit a 212 sized smallblock clone horizontally. Most are installed vertically, which will fit a Faker in that orientation but not sure if the Phatmoto is identical just with the motor plate welded in. Check out ghettobike.com.

It will mount horizontally but it's super tight fit, I will need either a horizontal mount or I buy myself something like a limo frame to put it in

So I'll be waiting until next paycheck to be putting my 225cc tillotson engine in, I need to remove the fuel petcock and replace it with a shorter fuel adapter to give me clearance, and I have to buy new engine mount to raise it up with the correct bolt pattern. Damn ! I am already in 1600$ for these new upgrades, 800$ for the bike and have another 300$ more to go before I can ride it. Would be nice to be sponsored at this point lol.

A lot of motor for that frame. Keep in mind the built-in jackshaft likely won't work either and will probably need the axle shaft replaced with a longer one. A 212 case is a lot wider than a 79cc and the sprocket will stick out farther.

As you can see so far, its definitely not a bolt-in deal. Much easier if you can weld.
