What is your motorized bike used for?

Mopeds are cool, totally legal DOT wise. For the money though I'd much rather put it into a 150cc scoot for city traffic. You have huge storage area plus the extra speed and power. At a minimum a 125cc scoot. $2200 Kymco Agility.

I use mine to get some work done.

Planning on building a trailer to haul some small lawn care stuff to knock out a few yards on fridays after my 40 is in and make a little cash on the side. Cost me just under a dollar to run this bike and trim up some weeds.

I use mine for everyday things I don't need my truck for. I filled up my truck in October and didn't put fuel in again until January by using my bike or walking almost everywhere. In January I started working somewhere new and my commute went from 2.5 miles to 16. I have rode my bike quite a few times to work. I can get to work 3 days for $5 on my bike. 1 day is $10 in my truck.

I also use it to go on long rides down the highways through the pecan orchards. Which is also my commute to work. Sometimes I commute to work on my off days just cuz it is a beautiful lazy ride.

Mainly using mine just for the fun of it. I enjoy having something to tinker with, and these little motors and the bikes themselves are relatively cheap which makes it more friendly on the budget.

If my Phantom continues to prove itself, and once I have my 110 ready to go I have considered using it for mild commuter duty for going to some classes I am taking or maybe even going to work when I have a random wild hair up my butt. The only reason I don't consider using it more for commuter purposes is the fact that I get off work at 11:30pm, and I don't have any lights setup. Plus, I have a 250cc dual sport that fits the role better.

I have considered one of the more high powered e-bikes like the Talaria Sting to use strictly for work duty when it isn't winter outside, but the entry price to those bikes is pretty steep, and the upgrades are as well.
